• I do not have direct or VPN access to my customer’s SBC. How can I initiate a scan?

  Access to the SBC (EMS) is required to run the scan. The access can be direct network access (the scanner is in the same WAN network as the SBC), via VPN or via SAL. 

• I do not have connectivity to the SBC from my laptop. How do I scan?

  You need to download and run the scanner utility on a machine from where you can access to the management interface of the SBC.

• Is downloading the scanner utility mandatory? (My company does not allow executables to be downloaded from the internet)

  We have an asset-light approach to the scan and do not use an agent approach that requires you to install a software component on any machine in your network. The scanner utility collects data from your SBC, strips out personal and sensitive data ...

• Is your product certified by the OEM? e.g., DevConnect for Avaya

  The product does not change the working of an SBC, nor does it sit in the middle of the call path. So, it does not affect the working of the SBC in any way. Therefore, it is not required to get this certified by SBC OEMs.

• What are the hardware and software requirements on my laptop to run the scanner?

  The scanner requires a PC with 8GB RAM and a free disk space of 1 GB. The current version of scanner supports Windows 10 or Windows 2016 server.
